End of the Year Food Service Message

Please remember to pay your child(ren) Food Service balances. For the remainder of the school year, no charging will be allowed.  Please make sure your child's account has enough money if they eat breakfast and/or lunch. 

Breakfast  is $1.40  or .30 for reduced
Lunch is $2.45   or .40 for reduced
Milk if purchased separately is .55

FPE Entrance Project

     Thanks to the support of many families and businesses in our community, our FPE Entry-Way Project is nearly complete.  The goal of the project was to make our building more secure.  In the past the main doors were left open.  With the new doors installed, there is a buzzer system to enter FPE during normal school hours.   Parents and other visitors check in at the foyer and wait until they are “buzzed” into the school by office staff.       

      The new entry-way at FPE is an important step in increasing security across the district.  We are so grateful for the contributions given toward the project on our GoFundMe page.  A major part of the funding for the project came from local businesses, which have always been incredibly supportive of our students and schools.  Many thanks to the following organizations:

     FPE has a tradition of friendliness and warmth.  We want to continue to build that type of atmosphere, while implementing new procedures that strengthen security.  Please be patient with us as we learn the new procedures and try to make them as user- friendly as possible while keeping our kids as safe as possible.  Thank you for working with us to make FPE the best it can be!  The support and involvement of our community is, and always has been, vital in that effort.  


 




Olivet Child Care & Inclement Weather

Olivet Child Care is available when our school has a delay due to inclement weather.
Especially on the days we have a 2 hour delay.  

If you have questions, please call us at 269-749-4611 or the Child Care telephone number before and after school can be reached at 269-749-4548.



So, when school is delayed due to Fog or other reasons, remember the following:
  • Child care will be open
  • School starts at 10:35 a.m.
  • Breakfast will not be served

2016-2017 PTO Board Members

New members were elected to the Olivet PTO Board at the May Meeting. Congratulations to our new officers: President- Kelly Boks, Secretary- Nicole Lawerence, Volunteer Coordinator- Kristy Lincoln, Stacey Lawson continues on as Treasurer. Many thanks to the outgoing board members for their many years of service and commitment: Lauren Stolberg- President, Sheila Miklusicak- President Elect, Michelle Coolidge- Secretary and Cheryl Worden- Carnival Coordinator.

The Good Shepherd Program (formally known as the G.R.I.N program)

Operation G.R.I.N is a Backpack Program to provide weekend meals to be sent home with elementary school students. How to Help: By donating nonperishable foods: Examples-   * Boxes of Mac & Cheese   *Oatmeal packets   *Boxes of cereal   *Jars of individual apple sauce   *Jars of peanut butter    *Pudding cups    *Canned Vegetables    *Fruit snacks   *Boxes of pasta   *Soups & Crackers   *Juice boxes

Operation G.R.I.N is a community outreach backpack program. Currently FPE sends home 28 bi-weekly backpacks with students. If you are able to help thank you!

Keep Up-TO-Date with our Facebook Page

To find us all you have to do is login to your Facebook page and type in Fern Persons Elementary in the seach field at the top. Remember to "Like" our page so we will show up on your news feed.  Facebook will be used as an informational tool. You will be able to view activities that are happening daily at FPE. This site is to be used by parents or those over 18 only.
